We pride ourselves on allowing your pooch to be a part of the family, not a part of your garden décor!

Jess

Jess has a strong background in animal care. She has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Certificate III in animal care, and is undertaking the NDTF (National Dog Training Foundation) Certificate III in canine behaviour.

Following that, Jess spent 5 years working in some of the “Big Box” pet stores. This is where Jess found her love of dog training, and her drive to understand dog behaviour better and along that path, Jess also took the extra time to understand Animal Nutrition. Following it with more research.

Jess has an unbiased opinion on Canine Nutrition, allowing her to understand Raw Feeding, Super Premium, Premium and Supermarket pet foods. Jess is hoping to be able to start producing Raw Food for Canines in the not so distant future.

Jess has been in the pet industry since 2012.

Starting with her first dog, Lotti. A little Dachshund x Jack Russell. Jess now resides with two Bull Arabs named George and Harlo, and two cats - Ninja Ginga and Raama.

Jess’ dogs are and were both assistance dogs for herself. George is now into double digits and retired, Harlo is 5 and GHAD (Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs) assessed. Both trained by herself.

Jess thrives herself in knowing her training techniques, training the dog in front of you and not a stock standard method.

Away from assistance dog work, and into dog spots - Jess and Harlo compete in Dock Diving. A sport where the dogs launch off a 30” dock, down 2” and their distance is measured. Harlo currently competes at 18.11” and in the Semi-Pro Division!

We travel frequently over the warmer months to compete in this sport.

We use Balanced Training and Positive Reinforcement Training. Suited and assessed to each family and their furry friends needs.
